These are the tools my husband, a builder/carpenter uses. He also uses these in remote settings (e.g. when he’s working on mountain camps in the NH White Mountains). It’s not like he won’t use Makita or Milwaukee – he has a bunch of tools as you might imagine, but when it comes to his everyday, go-to tools, it’s pretty much all Dewalt.
He finds that Dewalt batteries last quite a while – when he is working remotely, he does bring more than one of course – but they have staying power.
On a somewhat humorous note, I saw him take out the reciprocating saw the other day and venture into the field in front of our house. He had enough of the “suckers” – those root sprouts that grow up at the base of our apple trees – and went out with the saw and within minutes he had dispatched them all. So, the saw sort of doubled as a pruning saw! I’m guessing he did that with an older blade! 🙂
